I am a British journalist with wide experience in writing and producing newspapers and magazines – reporting, feature writing, editing and page design.

My portfolio includes bylined pieces in national newspapers and large circulation consumer magazines for women.

I speak five languages, including French and Italian, and have a cosmopolitan outlook, having been brought up in Istanbul and also lived in the South of France.

I have travelled around Europe, Africa and the US on facility trips, often during the promotional period of a new destination to the media in the run-up to marketing to the public. Some of these trips, such as Sicily, Morocco and Sardinia, pre-date digital archiving.

The articles listed here were published in the Saturday Magazine of the Daily Echo Bournemouth where I was a reporter and sub-editor for a number of years.

The Magazine is themed around lifestyle topics such as fashion, food, entertainment and travel. It was distributed with other daily newspapers in the group, circulating in Southampton, Weymouth and Brighton, with a combined circulation in excess of 125,000 in one of the most prosperous areas in the south of England.

Other features were published in the Dorset Society magazine, a glossy which circulates in the whole of the county and covers social events, style and interiors.

They all aim to give an overview of the destination, rather than follow a specific theme, which has led to a high level of reader response in the form of inquiries to the hosts.
